BNPL decline, online groceries, and the supply chain - Weekly Snacks #64

Campaign scoop

Meow Mix. What’s cuter than 1 cat singing a Meow Mix jingle? 5 cats dressed in denim singing the jingle like a 90s band. The Meow Mix commercial shows us what we didn’t know we needed - cats singing with NSYNC member JC Chasez alongside them. Cute and catchy!

Nude granola. A unique marketing campaign by Bear Naked Granola, a brand owned by Kellogg's. The campaign centers around the concept of "nude hiking," where the brand is encouraging people to explore nature while eating their granola. The goal is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle while enjoying the product. The campaign seeks to connect with outdoor enthusiasts and emphasize the natural ingredients in their granola.

Technology in retail

AR make-up. Dufry aims to enhance the airport shopping experience by offering virtual makeup try-on tools to customers. Travelers can use their smartphones to virtually try on makeup products, enabling them to make more informed purchase decisions without physical contact with the products. The integration of AR technology into the airport retail environment aims to provide a safer and more engaging shopping experience for travelers.

BNPL decline. Buy Now, Pay Later services allow consumers to make purchases and pay for them in installments over time. However, the growth of BNPL app downloads has slowed down recently. The decline in downloads is attributed to several factors, including increased competition in the BNPL market and concerns about consumer debt and financial stability.
